Though I was able to resolve it last month, I have been experiencing the same issue of favicon not displaying in browsers for the past 4 days now.
On Tuesday I made a slight alteration to the favicon and replaced the necessary files but till today Friday, it is yet to reflect.
Any pointers will be appreciated.
