Jobsroller description & how to apply text boxes hyperlinks
Hi, Im not sure which category to post this. Can you let me know how I can do the followings:
1) Make all external sites links inserted into Job Listings as "no follow" links.
2) Disable auto-hyperlinking of any URL that is inserted by job posters. Right now any URL that is inserted is automatically hyperlinked when a Job is posted. How can this be disabled?
For those that are new to
SEO might not understand the reason for this. So just a quick note to help others out. It is good to try and not allow others to use your site to post to their websites with a "do-follow" link from your site to theirs. This would have some misusing your site's authority,
PR or trustflow by placing links on your site that gives their site a boost in their ranking. Being a job site, when others post jobs, at times they would already have a profile page on other job sites and they might place that external site's URL into the job post they place on your jobsroller site. So basically that competitors website would be feeding off your site for some backlink juice if the link is a "do follow" link.
A "no follow" link is one way to avoid this. Does not mean you should not link to other authority sites like FB, Youtube and others with a "do follow". You should, as long as they do not link to your competitors or other job sites that you compete with.
