No idea which hook is used to inject that meta line in the theme. The structure of the last code snippet seems to be what you need but I can't say for sure if things have changed over these years.

That's probably injected by another plugin or custom code ... perhaps ACF plugin ?

Each category display only category icon. If B & C display own icons and if A is the parent category then A will display only own icons otherwise will display default icon.

Yes it is correct if there is single pin for category it will set the center lat & lang as per the single pin on the map and the zoom will consider the plugin settings zoom you have...
