WP Firewall 2 - is there an alternative?

Hello,

I am using WP firewall 2 on my site which is great as it is blocking attacks. However, it is also putting off my users since each time they want to post an ad there are loads of warning line appearing. At which point many user fail to scroll down the page to complete the posting process! The developer has ignored all my emails about that issue! Yet,one would imagine, if the issue was resolved, that more people would be willing to donate to that plugin!!!!!

Is there an alternative that will block attacks as well as that plugin, keeping in mind that I am not a technical person?
