I can't update the theme because the developer didn't use a child theme

Hi All,

I cannot update the theme anymore, because the original developer made changes to the theme files and now when I try to update my website crashes every time. The developer doesn't work for us anymore and there is no documentation. I'm still using hirebee 1.3.8 + freelancerr 1.2.2. So, in your opinion, what is the best way for me to transfer all modifications to the child theme (freelancerr) and finally be able to update my theme? How do I identify what as changed? is it possible to do this? I have no PHP experience.
