    Category menu covers zoom buttons

    I notice in Mappress that the category menu (where the website visitor selects which categories to display on the map) covers the Google Maps zoom buttons.
    This is very confusing for users who want to move around in the map and zoom in and out. The close button for the category menu is not very obvious.

    Has anyone found a way of making this better for users? i.e. having the zoom buttons and the category menu in different positions?
