customer's ratings of a listing increase search rank for listing owner?

Hi,

As a way to get listings, can I tell prospective businesses that they should claim or create a lisiting on our directory so that they can then encourage their satisfied customers to rate their listing on the directory as this will increase their website's search ranking in Google or would I be making a false advertising claim?

Also, I take it I can change the colour scheme, upload web backgrounds, custom headers,etc. to customize the Vantage directory? Thanks for the confirmation.

This kind of question relating to what is "false advertising" is probably outside the scope of what we could really advise you on. In a general sense though, it's probably not something you could guarantee as such. Currently though, Vantage does not include Google rich snippets, so this kind of ties in with it too. It is planned for a future release of the theme.

Vantage is not encrypted, so you are free to customize it as you wish. Thanks.
