    Post ClassiPress v2.8 coming soon.....

The latest version of classipress will have some major changes and enhancements which will make this an even more powerful classified ads system for wordpress. The biggest change that will affect existing classipress owners is the move to using custom fields instead of putting the entire classified ad inside the Wordpress post description (i.e. [name]david[/name] ).

This change will enable us to do much more feature-wise down the road. The migration for existing users will be somewhat of a pain though b/c you'll have to go through each and every post to migrate it into the new version. I will have instructions on how to do this so it will be more time intensive vs difficult.

Some of the new features include:
    -Tagging support
    -Adsense support
    -Google Analytics support
    -Feedburner support
    -Five color schemes
    -Comments module added
    -Ads total views counter
    -Multi-language support
    -404 page included
    -New page navigation
    -Wider layout
    and more...

This will be a great release! The tentative go live date is April 6th. I've attached a sneek peek of what the add new post and homepage will look like. Notice the cleaner layout (which are using custom fields and author fields) when submitted. Also the listings include a snippet of the ad description (this wouldn't be possible if we didn't move to custom fields).

Feedback is welcome but I'll be coding away over the next week trying to get everything done in time.
