Appthemes Updater plugin not updating 1.1.4 to 1.2.1

I installed the plugin and activated. Input the API and hit save. Went to the themes updater page as shown in the video hit check again, but it does not pull an update to the Vantage theme. Tried to manually upload the update through the update themes and it says there is already an existing file in that location.

Can anyone tell me how to get this updater plugin in to work?

I followed several of the other threads Here, downloaded new plugin, deactivated, reactivated, logged out, logged back in, still no working.
