Dynamic Dropdown list for Main Categories and Sub Categories

    Hello,

Anybody here done this dynamic drop down selection for categories upon posting ads? I have setup Many Main Categories Sub Categories and another sub catgories under subcategories this is how it looks like

    Main Category1
    -SubCategories1
    --Subcategories1a

    Main Category2
    -SubCategories2
    --Subcategories2a

I want to setup a dynamic 2 selection box 1. Main Category 2. (First Level)Sub Category 3.(Second Level) Sub Category

When Im going to select Main Category1 for the first box then the only option i can select in the second box is only under on the main category1.

Anybody here can give me idea how to do this? or hint what script im going to edit to apply this?

This is the sample i want to do in classipress category selection in post form:

Funny you ask this I need this also.

The current drop down menu for Categories would only show wordpress level 1 categories I think it would be (parent).

Then on selecting a parent a new menu would appear below the first, using Ajax obviously, which includes level 2 categories (children, subcategories).

I don't want to buy the theme until it has this so keen for the developer to upgrade it very soon and I'll buy developer license for using with CSV 2 POST. I would suggest that on selection of a subcategory another menu would appear if that category also has children and so on. The end result is always going to be just one category ID anyway. 3-4 levels should be ok never heard of 4.

    Hope that makes sense

    Regards
    Ryan
