Please Include These In the Next Version Please

I listed down these enhancements to classipress which you could hopefully integrate in the next version

Related classifieds ads - somewhere in the single.php page maybe you could include a list of related classified posts based on categories, this would improve the bounce rate and will allow search engines to easily index the whole site.

Auto-fill of information for registered users - retyping your name, email address, etc. in posting an ad when you have already registered is too cumbersome. ive noticed this with my "power users" that they sometimes don't bother to type in their other details in some of their ad posts.

spam protection - i've allowed unregistered visitors to post ads so the number of total ads will go up, but the problem with this is that spammers keep on posting nonsense ads for viagra, cialis, levitra, ephedrine etc. with their links to their websites. Hope there could be something to control these kinds of posts.

another feature request:

default image based on category which can be uploaded by the administrator. It looks better when visitors don't see blank squares in the index page.

Thanks for the suggestions. Here's my response:

-Auto-fill some fields for registered users will be included.
-Related classified ads you can use a plugin called related posts
-Spam protection. Does the "add the numbers" spam blocker not work well enough?
-A default image will be used when no images are uploaded with ads.
-The blank category images means the admin didn't select a category image.

Yeah, the "add the numbers" spam blocker work just fine with my site.

Yes, i think the "add the numbers" work well with bot spammers but some spammers use brute force in spamming my site. They sometimes post 10 ads every 2 hours or so and i have to delete those manually. Actually i have no problem with spam posts if their ad title and description make sense but since they input fields like "asdfWQEDS" i delete these manually or else my main page would make no sense with visitors.

as for the related posts plugin i have yet to try it in classipress. has anyone installed it with classipress successfully?

and for the default image, the default images only appear when you opt to have category icons instead of the uploaded images by the advertisers. what i am suggesting is to have a combination of these two such that when the advertiser doesn't upload an image, the default image would be a category icon --- or a default category image that can be set by the administrator.

two more from me :
1. Advance search. (by title, by brand, by prices and so on).
2. Extra Category in posting. example, car will have brand, model, prices, mileage and so on ...

I have already mentioned these first things in one of the other threads, but having the option for only registered members see contact details (phone number, MSN etc) and ability to click the "contact the seller" link.

Nav bar - for when the classifieds are not your actual home page. Some users seem to miss the page links at the bottom of the page, so up top would be more visible..

In terms of searching, being able to see all listings from a specific person.

Feedback or rating system to give sellers some sort of reputation to build up if they use the service a lot. Also builds trust..

This does occur on my site as well every couple of days. There will be 5-10 post all in a row that are just random letters.

A cool feature would bee a SORT function, like on eBay, I'm only saying this because there's already a plugin, but tight integration with it would be very sweet.

Column sorting will be available in the next release v2.8.3 due out in 1-2 months.
