    spam control?

i am tired of some people trying to submit the same spammy postings...

can a feature be added that can block submissions based on keywords?

i know all the new posts can be moderated.

but i get 10 entries submitted by different user names promoting the same ****ty spammy service... and i have to delete them all manually!

so if i can put in keywords, the submissions are just not made by the system!

Add the Bad Behavior WordPress plugin to your site:

    http://www.bad-behavior.ioerror.us/

Also make sure you have the Akismet plugin activated as well:

    http://akismet.com/

Both will really help out your site with spam controller.

And if you really want to get nasty, try banning their IP address! Lester Chan (who wrote the print and email plugins used with CP) also has a plugin called WP-Ban which is described as follows:

"Ban users by IP, IP Range, host name, user agent and referer url from visiting your WordPress's blog. It will display a custom ban message when the banned IP, IP range, host name, user agent or referer url tries to visit you blog. You can also exclude certain IPs from being banned. There will be statistics recordered on how many times they attemp to visit your blog. It allows wildcard matching too."
