    Users Edit Post

    I know that letting users edit their own post is well on the way. What i am wondering is will the edit page be the same page in the admin side, or will it be something fixed so when they edit its not on the wp-admin but a form like the post form on the site?
    Eric is best known in the forum for his in depth tutorials. He started in design 4 years ago and then discovered WordPress and has been coding and hacking themes and plugins ever since. He's quite helpful if you have any questions for him in the forum. Eric also makes his own WordPress themes and plugins and provides ClassiPress consulting on the side.     Good question. Here's how it will work.

    Somewhere on the site (probably in the header) there will be a link that says something like "My Ads". That link will only appear if users are logged in. The link will take them to their user dashboard (not in WP) which will list all their pending, live, and expired ads. Each live ad will have two options: Edit and Remove. The expired ads will have Edit and Relist options.

    This will make it so your users won't need to access your WP interface at all. Much more professional looking and gives owners better ClassiPress security.

    O WOW, thats perfect, of course changes would have to be made for my site but the structure is what i need to get me going in the right direction.

    Great. But I want to incorporate this on my Classipress right now. What codes do I add in order to give my members thei own "My Ads" dashboard? Basically what I want is when they login they'll have a link to their ads or a listing of all their ads so they can easily monitor each.

    Hewitt, if it was that easy I would have already built it into the last version of ClassiPress. This dashboard feature will be out in a couple of weeks. Here is a sneak preview of what it will look like. I'm still working out some bugs but the look should stay the same.

    Wait, so the user edit feature is coming soon? I thought this was a couple of months out?

    This is the only thing I'm waiting for to purchase.

    As for me, this User Edit and User Admin Dashboard features are the only ones I'm waiting for before I launch my ad site
