View More Ads by... "author_name"

One of my members (I have 4 pre-launch beta testers) suggested having a View More Ads by... "author_name" link on each ad. I know you can see this info by clicking the author's name, but this is not obvious to many users.
I guess this could be done via a template mod (gonna try to figure it out after 2.93 comes out), just thought it would be a nice feature (that could be switched on/off via the admin page).

Well you could do a more ads by this user list under the user details (on the right sidebar).

It would be a lot easier and you could also easily turn it off from the admin options like you said. If you need help creating it let me know. Happy to help out for a good cause! =D

On Space Spare we use a related links by category plugin. I'm sure there's a similar one for authors.

Thanks, I might just take you up on that.
One option would be to change the "Posted by:" text right above the name to "View more Ads By:" and then link it to the same url http://www.domain/author/user_name/
I think that will do. I'll play with it later tonight and post a "quick tut" once I've got it worked out. I think others will be interested.

Nice. So here's my thoughts:
The 1st link: "Posts by Author Plugin for WordPress" - Absolutely perfect - exactly what I was looking for.
The 2nd link: "List posts by author" - not so much - potentially useful but lists all posts sorted by author.
The 3rd link: "Template Tags/the author posts link" - useful - pretty much does like I mentioned in my previous post, provides a link to the authors profile page.

So my verdict: 1 & 3.

The author of the featured ad has only 1 post.
Compare that to to the 2nd post... lists the 5 (configurable) most recent posts right in the ad.
But wait there's more... Click the "view all ads by user" link... takes you to the 2nd author's profile page which lists all 8 of the author's ads. Although the same thing as clicking the name at the top... this is much more obvious to the lay-user.

If anyone wants a tut of what to put where, I'll gladly do it, but if I can figure it out with my circa 1995 html skills... most peeps here should have no probs.
