Ability to show sponsors ads by category

It would be nice if we can associate or have a client sponsor category. Eg. I would like to show local auto dealership's ads on the side bar for the pages showing items in Auto Category.

This will help us to generate extra revenue by selling more ads. Also, there is will be more ad space.

Great idea, I would like to be able to offer advertising by category also, for example:

I have a category named Parts, see link below. On that page (and all category pages) I have a 336x280 Ad Spot that would be attractive to any Auto Parts business looking to advertise and "Own a Category" so to speak.

Hi there, no it is not a plugin, it was a mod that was done. At the moment, I cannot find it, it was done by a coder a while a go for me.

If you referring to your original post, then there's no problem having this feature now or in the near future. The developers just tend to consider a certain feature request based on the number of users asking for it.

However, it can be implemented directly to the archive-default.php where it handles classipress category display.

I really would like this function to be considered; not all of us are going to be putting up google ads!
