OK, i got it to work, BUT it requires you to edit the post to pick a default Thumbnail.
In the edit, in the right column at the bottom you can add a thumbnail.

Not ideal. would be nice in the 'add new ad' function when uploading images you can check a box to make one your default thumbnail.

Will look to get some feedback from the development team on this topic..

i think it would be useless feature, since it's not realistic you browse a classipress site from a mobile phone (you would only do that for testing purposes, or because you can..)

To update this topic, I have discussed this further with the development team and can confirm at this stage there are no plans to create a lite/mobile version of the theme. I would recommend if anyone comes across this thread and likes the idea, that you continue to voice your support of this feature request by way of a comment or rating of the thread, and I can always present this again in future.

I would like to say that a mobile version of this site would be perfect and really make it shine. Myself and my colleagues use our iphones for almost everything now so browsing classifieds would be no different. I think its a key feature.

There are plugins that you can use for that like the WP Touch.

WP touch does not take custom post types though - hopefully in future they will get better of course

Ya. Custom post types is the kicker

I think some users are already asking the WPtouch support/developer for custom post type support. You may also try contacting them for that as a follow up.
