Add icons to the categories Classipress HELP

The tutorial to add icons to the categories are easy steps. But it did not work. I put the ID = number of categories and the URL of the icon as the tutorial says
I added the scrip to the style sheet and did not work.

The tutorial does not say which part of the style sheet must add the script.
Probe into several parts and I could not get it to work. If anyone had success with this tutorial for help me.
