Address in Canada not presenting on map correctly

We are USA company. But we do allow posts from other places. We have our first ad listing from Canada. The map is showing the location in ALABAMA because it's the state listed in the drop down by default. What can we do to force this to show in the right country and use the province instead of a US state name. This is NOT a Canada only site.
