Background Image Menu Bar

Hello,

Can someone please help me with this.

I would like the menu / header area to have the attached image run (repeatX) the entire page width, left to right.

The red area would still be the menu (home, blog, etc.) but also have this darker bar beneth it.

Oh, I figured out how to make the logo area white, but cannot figure how to make the main body white. I'm not sure I want to, but it woul be nice to compare.
