Cant seem to find definitive advances search mod

Hi guys,
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find a good tutorial for implementing a sidebar advanced search.

I need to search by -
Category -
Price -
Location (region / city)

I might need a more refined search later but if I could get this much working I'd be delighted.

I have read a lot of stuff on advanced search's on the forum but I cant seem to pin down the definitive answer. http://www.appthemes.com/demo/classi...category/auto/, This search is great albeit a bit TOO advanced for what I need but something similar would be great,
