Change box size for header

I've looked through the forum but can't find any info on how to do this seeminlgy simple thing. I've created a header that is 250px high and is doing some funky things on some browsers (like covering the nav bar) and some ok looking ones on others. It's all because I can;t find how to set the height of the block the header sits in. Where in the CSS can I find and set this myself. My site is MyEventBase.com
