ClassiPress vs Craiglist - The business of advertising
The hallmark features of Craigslist is it's simplicity - and speed.
Another amazing thing is how many people use it.
In my home town, if I search the town's name on craigslist, I count 100+ new posts EVERY DAY.
And I'm in a little poedunk town in Washington. I just checked the Phoenix area - a suburb called Cave Creek - and they've had over 100 new posts today and it's not even noon yet.
The effectiveness of the competition is overwhelming. They are FAST. SIMPLE. EASY.
The Craigslist business model should be a target for AppThemes.
Keep it simple, keep it fast, keep it intuitive.
The application is all about selling. Both developers and users should keep that in mind. And don't fail to evaluate the competition.
