Display featured on different blog - multisite setup

Hi,

I have a multisite setup running wordpress 3.01.

I have the classipress installation on a sub domain (homes.mainsite.com) and we are trying to display the featured ads with pictures and scroller on the main site (mainsite.com).

homes.mainsite.com - is the classipress setup all is working well

We would like the scroller to be displayed on mainsite.com which is not a classipress install.

What functions do we need for this or is there an easy way to achieve this without writing our own code to read from the database.
