    Fees vs Free

    Hi,

Having a dig around have not seem to have found a topic so guess i will ask around so to speak,

i am sure many site owners have thought about this and not sure if some people will provide details but how did you decide about your site fees? i.e to be free or to charge?

if your free how do you think you will make money? people say banner adverts but do you really get enough money in to make it possible? people say lots depends on site, exposure etc.. but if you are a new site then operating for free how do you grow? no days any forum sites do not allow for free plugs and want money so if your nit making money where do you get cash flow?

this then leads on to fees, if you charge how much do you charge? i have been looking around and there is nothing really dedicated to my area a few sites oother a for sales area but nothing with the features of my new site i am currently building, when i look at the fees i am cheaper or very close to what these sites charge but feedback from people is yes its a great service but i can list for free on such and such

look forward to peoples thoughts i am sure its something every one has thought about over and over
