    Help ! Category Sidebox to display sub categories only

    I have my main navigation menu on the header bar. So I want to display only related sub category in the sidebox; rather that displaying both main category and sub category box. And on home page no category/sub-category sidebox.Tried editing sidebar.php but could not find a solution.
    If anyone knows please Help.
