How to build a left sidebar?? Dummie needs some Help

Hi

i want my site to have a left an right sidebar, so 3 colums (classipress theme)

I browsed the forum yesterday for like 4 hrs but none of the tricks are working for me or are not exact enough for me to understand them (i don't nknow any php)

i tried the following methods without any result and/or messing op my page
