    How to make changes to red.css

    I need to make some color changes to the red theme I have selected. If I make changes to red.css and save it in childtheme/styles/red.css the changes do not take effect.
    Here is what I put in red.css
    Code:
    @import url("../classipress/styles/red.css");

.header_menu { background:#ff0000; border-top:2px solid #c35353;}

.footer_menu { background:#ff0000; border-bottom:2px solid #c35353;}
