How to make sure featured ads show up FIRST in search and category archives
Hi guys. I realize that AppThemes does not support modding (or offer it, it seems), but I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction.
As of right now, it seems that the only perk for a listing author to choose to pay for Featured status is that it will show up in the slider, but...
How can I make sure that they show up at the top of the list when they are displayed in a category list or a search archive?
I don't expect the actual code (to be provided by a AT staffer), but if you could at least point me to the template/theme files that handle the search sorting and category sorting, I'd be comfortable experimenting myself and i'm intermediate with PHP.
My intentions are to:
- Make featured listings appear first
- Call out and style the featured listings using CSS (easy)
- Sort by popularity / views 2nd after featured priority
As a side note, I am using a child theme and won't be hacking the core
