How To Make Table Padding, Spacing, & Other Functions To Work With Sidebar Text Boxes
I have used and tried to use tables in Text Sidebar boxes. The tables work fine reltive to the very basics but centering, alignment, cellspacing, cellpadding, and similar table 'options' are totally ignored with everything just stacked together with no spacing or alignment beyond placement of the items in the table row and column order.
I have made some things work by actually adding spacing to the edges of some images but some (such as some social media blocks and external widgets) are fed from external sources and there is no way to control this in this secondary kludge manner. Is there some 'magic' to allow these table formatting elements to be 'noticed' in ClassiPress?
The Social Media block at the bottom of the right column of my
http://www.73.biz is an example. I control the Twitter and Facebook images, so I added 6px of spacing to the center, Twitter, graphical image using Photoshop to 'fake' cell padding. The lower 'Add This' widget is simply spaced with a <br /> entry which is marginally satisfactory but centering this widget image with the line above or withing the text block with centering tags does not work.
Thanks!
