    Image rezize on featured and homepage help needed

    Running 3.1.4.
    I have been trying to resize images on featured & homepage.
    Spent 2 days,hours of searching,reading & trying,but most info seems to be for older versions.
    Can anyone please give simple details of how to do this as i am fed up with restoring backups lol.
