    Marketing...

    Hi.

    Firstly i am based in the UK.

    Sometimes i have used text messaging to advertise my site. There is a very well known site over here that when people place an ad, their contact details are displayed.

    What i would like to know is, is it legal to just contact people using their details this way..?. Their details are on public display after all.

    I am aware that if someone asked you to stop and you didn't it could be deemed to be harrassment, but is it illegal to do it in the first instance..?
