"Message sent" on sidebar ad contact form and refresh?

I noticed 2 things when I tested the sidebar contact form. 1. Once you click send it doesn't refresh the form. Whatever you typed in the fields is still there as if you didn't click send. And, 2. the "message sent" hits at the top of the form instead of the bottom. So, if you have scrolled to a certain part of the page and can't see the top of the form, it appears to not do anything when you are expecting it to act like any other form. I mean, usually you click send and everything you typed in goes away and you get your "sent message". Is there any fix for this? I keep finding references to most of my questions, but they either don't work with 3.2 or they lead to broken links so sorry if I keep re-asking questions that have been asked a lot!
