need help - how to edit Classifpress style sheet on homepage

I'd like to edit the main style sheet in Classipress. Specifically on the homepage and sidebar. I'd like to change the size or spacing between the upper search bar (i.e. What are you looking for?) and featured ad listings carousel? What do I need to look for if i need to change the spacing sizes for anything else in the style sheet for the grey spaces between tables or widgeted areas on the sidebar? I'm not too well-versed in CSS but also not afraid to make changes if I know which file and code I need to edit.
