No expiry on moderated adverts

What is happenning
I have all adverts to be approved by admin before being made live on the website, except for those accounts that are verified.
The issues
1. Expiry dates not given to adverts that admin need to approve.
2. Featured adverts are classed as expired in the user dashboard if the advert has to be approved by admin (doesn't happen to those who are verified users) but still show in the list and shown as live to the administrator.
3. adverts not being autoshared if they need to be approved by admin (I think this may be in connection with the lack of expiry date as above)

Has anyone come across anything like this before?
