Performance capabilities

As a general question would you guys use classipress on a website with 200-2000 unique visitors a day ? would that require a huge VPS or something like sitegrounds shared hosting would do it ? im just worried that the monthly cost of running a mostly free ads website would be higher than a few featured ads can pay for...
Now to get this into perspective : i have a domain that used to be used as a country wide classifieds website domain and still has 100+ backlinks from various places also it is PR2 and i got the PR1 .com too i used in wordwide version. so if this goes back online i need something stable an fast and something that will not cost my a leg and an arm
