Redirect expired ads to parent category or homepage if none

Hey everyone,

I'm wondering if this can be done through the core files or using a plugin, which in my opinion would be worthwhile considering the amount of ads that come and go and how this plugin can help with SEO.

1. Ideally, the plugin would redirect an expired ad back to the parent category or the homepage (if parent category listing is disabled or non existing)

2. Once the ad owner opts to relist the ad from the dashboard, the redirect will reset to none once the ad is activated.

3. If "Allow users to edit and republish their ads" is not enabled and the Ad goes in pending mode until it's approved, which I'm assuming would place the ad offline? Or does it just keep the previously saved version? If the ad goes offline, then Redirecting to parent directory would kick in.

This wouldn't apply just to ClassiPress, but all other themes for SEO purposes, cause noone likes a 404 page.

Anyone else thinks this is useful? And any developers out there interested in developing such plugin?
