Redirect user to dashboard after login

Hi
On my site users can create ads without registrating initially, The registration is done when the classified is created.
Then the user has the possibility to change the classified by login in and having access to the dashboard.

What I would like some help with is to redirect the user after login directly to the dashboard. At the moment the user is being redirected to the startpage after login. I have been looking through the theme-login.php file, but I can't make it work.

Please help me
