Remove comments in single ad listings?

What would be the best way to remove the comments from the single ad listing pages in ClassiPress 3.2.1?

In 3.1.9 I just commented out the line that called the comments function in single-ad-listing.php and that worked fine, however I just upgraded to 3.2.1 and when commenting out that line now it just messes up the layout of the page and the comments are still left. Any ideas?
