Resize single ad thumbnails?

I'm trying to create new thumbnails for the gallery of 8 images below the main single-ad pic.

Editing the the thumbnail media setting in wordpress is also changing the thumbnails in the featured carousel, which i have set at 120x140.

How can i separate these two functions? 120x140 is obviously too big for the 8 image gallery.

In the image below you can see i created a new function in "themes-function.php":



Doing that has added the option in the wordpress media settings as you can see below:




I have no idea what to do next or if this is even the right path. Any ideas?
