Text fields and textareas cannot be included in refine search

Hello,

Can someone please help with this crazy ClassiPress error. If I create a custom field, I should be able to check that box if I want the field included in my search results. ClassiPress will not let me do this and that is a coding error with ClassiPress.

I have been coding for over 30 years, every text field or text box should be searchable, this is the way of the coding world. Why does ClassiPress lock out the fields just because they are text related? This is wrong and needs to be fixed by the ClassiPress Team.

In the screenshot, I created a custom text field for the ISBN Book Number. I want the ISBN searchable along with the title and author. How hard is something so simple???

This is a no brainer when coding a program, I am shocked that the programmers that put together ClassiPress blocked any field from being searchable. This is not up to them, it should be up to the user.

How can this be fixed...Please help..I attached a screenshot..
