Is there plan to change Classipress theme into a plugin?

Hi,
I use classipress (on 2 of my sites) which I find to be very good theme. I heard along a the grape vine that there is an idea to turn it into a plugin. I think this would be a great idea so that we can choose any kind of theme/ or look that suits us... css wise with out major alterations.

Are there any plans to implement this or a target date? If so would be willing to pay for the plugin.
