want to convert an existing website to classipress

hi guys, i want to build a new website on my old one this time using classipress. i have never done it before...that is having one live while i am building the new one. i dont have a clue how to do it and need some very good instructions. can you help me please? here are some parameters:

1. my existing site is about 2000 posts
2. i would like to keep the same basic url's if possible due to existing seo
3. as i mentioned, i want to keep the existing site live while i build the new site from scratch with classipress theme
4. most of the existing post information can be copied and pasted into the new page for it on the new site i am building
5. i really need this to be simple guys
