Webroot & Brightcloud May Well Be Flagging Your Site Or Even Blocking It
I just discovered today that a number of my sites are being flagged as "Suspicious" by Webroot products. One is even being blocked altogether. It says the CSS file is infected - as if. Not only is that a bald faced lie, it is ridiculous on its face.
This is not limited to my sites by any means. I've been checking the websites of my Twitter friends and have discovered that about 40% of them are also flagged as "Suspicious" which, as it turns out, can mean that any computer with Webroot products installed on them will be blocked from viewing those sites.
I wish I were kidding about this, but I'm not.
You can find out if your website(s) are being flagged by going to
BrightCloud, Inc. - Hosted Security Services and entering your URL on the right hand side of the page.
Webroot & Brightcloud suck. They are scaring people for money & slandering perfectly good websites for no reason at all. Make sure yours isn't one of them. The damage they are doing to people's reputations for money is disgusting.
Protect your good name and your investment. Check to see if you are being flagged. Seriously, this is important.
