Wordpress RSS feed and category feeds

How do we setup our category rss feeds? When I click on any of the category rss icons I just get a page with and a bunch of, basically, unreadable text. I found a tutorial here: http://docs.appthemes.com/tutorials/...ed-feedburner/ but it didn't seem to work to redirect the feed to feedburner and I didn't understand how to add the filters to redirect the categories either. Am I missing something again? Help please?!
