Adding a Forum to our sites

Hi again,

Can anyone help me with how we can add a forum (such as this one) to our ClassiPress sites?

Can I add it within the site as a page or do I need to create a seperate web site and link to it - like what I have done within my movies site http://www.gringomovies.com to my http://www.gringosales.com site?

The easiest solution I know of is Simple:Press Forums at http://simplepressforum.com/
Some might complain about performance, but if you don't load it up with too many sections/groups it works well.

Another solution is what you see here: phpBB at http://www.phpbb.com. There is a way to integrate WP to share it's login data with phpBB but from what I read, it looked like a lot of work. That site is WP-United at http://www.wp-united.com/.

And finally, there is bbPress at http://bbpress.org/ which I don't know much about. Perhaps someone could chime in on this one.

I originally used phpbb on my site, but didn't integrate, so it meant users had to register twice which wasn't so good. I tested out SimplePress and am one of the many people who would complain it was too slow..even my test forum with hardly anything in it just seemed slow...so finally I tried out bbpress and have stuck with it. Integrates easily, not as "pretty" as phpbb, but looks ok and does the job. No complaints here.

..and with regards to where you would install it.. well, personally I like having it installed in a subdirectory, as in websitename/forums which is also how I did my CP install (websitename/Classifieds). If you happen to be doing an upgrade to ClassiPress it won't effect the rest of your site so users can still access your homepage and forums.

The forum is already built in so no extra work is needed for the forums.
