Thread: I am having trouble making classipress work

I am having trouble making classipress work

I have unziped and uploaded to my hosting account the classipress folder.
then, i created the fallowing subfolders
/wp-content/themes/classipress/
and
/wp-content/plugins/
Then made the permisons to writable

So after this i don't know what to do.
i tryed to access /wp-content/themes/classipress/index.php
i get the fallowing message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in D:\Hosting\3426440\html\aircraft\wp-content\themes\classipress\index.php on line 3

Just to clarify please, was your installation of Wordpress working ok before you installed the ClassiPress theme?

you have to activate the theme.
go to appearance and themes then choose classipress as the theme to use. You can't just browse to the index page.
Likewise for the plugins. go to the plugins page and activate them.

I went on the site of wordpress

clicked on themes and searched for the classipress theme
but there wasnt any ???

Ok, so your confirming the installation of Wordpress is working ok, but you just can't see ClassiPress in the theme section of the WP Dashboard? Is it showing as a broken theme at the bottom of that page?
