can't post first ad

I just purchasedthe theme and set up my site. Can't post first ad.
It opens new page with message "PLEASE RUN YOUR THEME CONFIGURATION AT LEAST ONCE BEFORE POSTING AN AD!"
I've configured the theme in the only places I've found to. What I'm a missing?
Other that this show stopper, I'm loving the theme.

What do you mean, exactly, that you can't post ads?
Is it not possible to post after clicking the 'post and ad' button/form or once posted they are not showing up?

When you click the button to make an ad it opens a new page with only the wording about not being able to post an ad until the theme is configured. The exact wording was in the first post. You close the page with the message and you're back to square one. I'm obviously missing part of the configuration ,but I can't find what I
I'm missing.

There is a README-FIRST.txt file included with the download. That will walk you through the installation process and get you setup properly.
