dual WP install for classifieds and blogging on one site

I've read several threads explaining the duel install method for creating a WP site which has both the classifieds capability of classipress, combined with the a traditional Wordpress blog.

- install Wordpress 2/ Classipress in one directory
- install traditional Wordpress in another

What I'd like to do is skin the traditional install to match Classipress for smooth integration.

Can someone suggest the best/quickest approach?

Modify the Classipress template so that the blogs display traditionally?
Or copy CSS info from Classipress to another template?

If my second approach would seem the best, can someone suggest a template that is similar in style to classipress, in order to get a head start?

I use this one as I think it matches the blue theme closely
