Giant white space below footer

I have a considerably large space underneath the footer. I am using a default CP 2.9 template, so it starts right beneath the gray footer.

It only shows on the index page and not the ads or other pages.

Any idea why something like this would occur?

Posted a few classifieds and it went away.

Similar problem here using version 3
