Help.. WP update to 2.8.3 will it affect my site?

Hi,

If I update to Wordpress 2.8.3 (I am on 2.8.0 now) will it affect my web site? Wordpress say we should for security reasons..

I have made just a few changes to my site and concerned what impact the update will have if any?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated

Wont affect your site at all

If you've made no core WordPress changes then everything should be fine.

Thanks for the reply's.. what files are core WordPress versus the theme ones? Sorry but I have made a few changes to a few different files within the WP Editor.. they were all files underneath "Theme Files" so I am in the clear?

Core files are anything OUTSIDE of the wp-content folder, usually at root level - essentially the files that you uploaded when you first installed WP.
